I went to a job recently with a Burlington shower. Now, Burlington is a well-known, high-quality brand, but they’re definitely on the expensive side when it comes to replacement parts.
They’ve got that traditional style, which isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, and when something goes wrong, repairing them can be a real headache. The parts are expensive, they can be incredibly fiddly to work on, and once you factor in the labour, it can quickly become an expensive job.
So I had a look at the options and worked out that, rather than spending a fortune repairing the existing shower, I could fit a brand-new Mira shower for less money, even with my labour included.
I took the old Burlington apart, removed it all and fitted a lovely new Mira dual-outlet shower. I then tidied up the old fixing holes with some black silicone to leave everything looking neat and finished.
And honestly, the result looks absolutely lovely! A fresh, modern look, a quality shower from another well-known brand, and a solution that actually worked out cheaper than repairing the original.
Sometimes, replacing something just makes more sense than repairing it! 👌🚿
