Locks4less Locksmiths Limited are a family run locksmith business run and owned by me Arthur Greenway based in Chelmsford and serving the entire county of Essex, For over 10 years i have been locksmithing and have extensive knowledge of most types of domestic locks. I specialises in Upvc and composite door issues such as: Locks, Handles, Mechanisms, Gearboxes and adjustments. I offer an out of hours call out service to gain entry, secure your home or maybe you have lost or had keys stolen and need the lock changing. Looking for a local locksmith that is reliable and trusted is a daunting task at the best of times, But when its an emergency its even more stressfull , Will they let you down or will they over charge taking advantage of your situation? Unfortunately in a lot of cases the answer is YES! There was recently a episode of rip off britain on the BBC covering this problem. Here at Locks4less unlike many of my competitors i have a prices page on the website highlighting my labour price range and many of the most common locks and parts, Also you will be able to read through many reviews left on Google and Trustpilot in fact over 1200 genuine reviews. For extra peace of mind for my customers a few years back i joined the Essex Trading Standards Buy With confidence scheme the businesses listed on this website have been vetted, approved and continue to be monitored by Trading Standards, to help ensure you receive a quality service. Businesses are only included once they’ve completed a series of stringent checks, including a visit by a qualified Trading Standards professional. Those working in and around people’s homes will also be criminal record checked. If you’ve moved home recently, have you considered having your locks changed? You never know who has a copy of your key maybe a neighbour, tradesman or cleaner and it could have implications on any insurance claim if theres no sign of forced entry. I offer a same day service on completion which can be booked in advance when making your other moving arrangements . On my visit i can confirm whats needed and give a no obligation quotation before any work is carried out. BS3621 You may of heard this on the recent TV advert ” Do your locks conform to” Its very simple if you have a wooden front door it will usually have a nightlatch at the top most commonly known as a Yale but many brands exist, Further down the door you should have a mortice deadlock displaying the BS kitemark usually on the face plate. However if your door is upvc or composite it will most likely have a multipoint lock mechanism so no need for a mortice deadlock but you can upgrade the lock cylinder to a British Standard Anti Snap to greatly improve your security. BS3621 is a lock standard by British Standards Institute (BSI) for thief-resistant locks, BS-3621 locks are found on some front and back doors in the home and it’s a good way to check that your security is up to standard. This is why some insurance companies require door locks are fitted to BS 3621 British Standard. Why not give me a call for free advice and a quoutation today even the call is free 0800 542 9995 or maybe just store my number in your phone as you never know when you might need a locksmith.
