Project Complete ✅

Before & After: Our latest picket fence installation is complete! Built using treated, planed 4x1, with each picket individually cut to create a traditional pointed top, along with treated planed 4x4 posts and 4x2 rails.

Chimney Demolition & Roof Repair Completed ✅

This property was suffering from severe water ingress, with the chimney stack and several roofing & rendering defects allowing water into the property and causing internal damage.

We safely removed the chimney stack and re-covered the area using matching Welsh slate. New bargeboards, fascias and a dry verge system were also installed to address an inadequate overhang at the rear elevation.

A condition survey was also carried out for the client, allowing future maintenance works to be planned and helping to identify other potential areas of water ingress before they become major issues.

From planning through to handover, we manage every aspect of the project, including access, permits, deliveries and waste removal, with regular progress updates throughout.

Another porch replacement and another happy customer! 🙂

The existing porch roof had reached the end of its lifespan and urgently required replacement.

We removed the old structure and installed a new GRP Newbury Mono Pitch canopy, providing a durable, lightweight, low-maintenance and attractive porch solution for years to come.

It's been a busy first few months of the year here at Woodhead Construction, and social media has definitely taken a back seat while we've been out on the tools.

The good news is that we've got plenty of completed projects to share over the coming weeks, starting with this recent porch roof renewal.

Years of water ingress and no ventilation had left the roof structure completely rotten and well on its way to becoming compost!

The roof was stripped back, all rotten timbers replaced, and a new deck installed before being finished with a high-performance EPDM rubber roofing system. We also fitted new plastics and rainwater goods.

Beautiful natural slate installed as part of this complete roof renewal, maintaining the character of this fully renovated 1920s cottage.

The property was stripped back to the four external walls, with new shuttered concrete pads poured for the wall plates and hand-cut rafters installed with upgraded insulation. Finished with natural slate and new fascias, soffits & rainwater goods.

A large flat roof over the new rear extension was completed using a durable EPDM rubber system👌🏼
