Located in the central belt of Scotland, GMDL Architecture and Construction prides itself in the ‘all in one service’ offered, from initial architect led design through to construction of your perfect home. The services we offer are as distinct as you and we are able to provide you with as much or as little input into your design concept as you require:

• Full design and construction service, whe

reby you will have access to our fully qualified and extensively experienced architects who will consult with you from the start of your project, identifying and depicting key components of your requirements through to constructing the design concept via our construction team. Full client input is fully encouraged at each design and construction stage.

• Architect design only, including planning and building warrant drawings;

• Already have plans? We are able to offer construction only services for self-build, home extensions, full or partial home refurbishments.

• Furthermore, based on our extensive range of suppliers we use, we are also able to negotiate excellent prices with a range of kitchen and bathroom manufacturers and suppliers. We are happy to discuss your requirements, so please do contact us for an informal discussion and free quote. Also if the service you are looking for is not listed, please do still contact us, giving full details of the services you require and we will hopefully be able to help.

✨ Another stunning transformation completed in East Kilbride.

This project involved a full home extension and internal refurbishment, completely reconfiguring the ground floor to create a spacious open-plan kitchen and dining area, alongside a new downstairs bathroom.

From the initial concept through to the final finishing touches, GMDL delivered the entire project:

Another project completed ✔️

Delighted to hand over this extension, creating the shell for a new accessible shower room.

From the initial architectural drawings and building warrant to council submission through to construction, we worked closely with our client to bring their vision to life.

The project has now been handed over ready for the client’s chosen second-fix plumbing, sanitaryware and final finishes.

It’s always rewarding to deliver projects that help make homes more practical, adaptable and future-proof.

It’s almost a year since our last post (oops!) not because we’ve gone quiet, but because 2025 has been incredibly busy behind the scenes.

Over the past year we’ve had the privilege of working with so many fantastic clients across architecture, construction and kitchen design, and we want to take a moment to say thank you.

Works still in progress, but what a difference to date! Internal brick wall down between two smaller rooms, then a further two corner external stone walls down into the brand new extension we’ve designed and built. Creating one super open plan family, dining, living space.

One of our clients wanted both the architectural drawings and 3D renders to be able to fully visualise their project. We are able to offer this service rather than just a 2D floor plans to help make sure everything you want is captured right from the beginning.

🚜✨ Farm Project Update: Taking Shape! ✨🚜

Exciting progress on our farm build! The timber kit walls are up, and we’ve installed the roof trusses—now fully sheeted and battened, ready for the roof tiles to go on. 🏠🔨

The steel beams are also in place, giving this structure the strength it needs while we move toward the next stage. It’s amazing to see it all come together!

At GMDL Architecture and Construction, we took this project to the next level by demolishing an old garage and replacing it with a brand new granny annex! From the ground up, we created a stylish and fully functional living space, complete with a modern fitted kitchen and a luxurious ensuite bathroom. 🍽️🛁

Our team delivered a full-service experience, handling everything from the architectural plans and building warrant submissions to the full kitchen and bathroom design and installation. We managed every detail, including all electrics, plumbing and plastering—ensuring the highest quality finish!
