Here you see the Landworks dogs working hard as usual...They are trying out the sheep's wool insulation we are using in the walls of a home studio. Pretty cosy, apparently!

Top tip to help your garden cope with hot, dry weather - let your lawn grow long. It shades the ground beneath, keeps moisture at the base of the grass and is a real benefit for wildlife. You can give it an extra sparkle by mowing a path through - it looks inviting and keeps your trousers dry hen it finally does rain again. So, less mowing labour, less fuel cost and more wildlife - you're welcome!

We are very serious about pond building, and check every excavation to make sure that it's smooth and comfortable before we move on. Nobody wants a cross frog!

Planting native trees on a steep, crumbly bank needs a whole new approach! Luckily, my amazing team are all over it. Is there nothing they can't do?
As the climate changes, we have adapted the way we plant, and all of these trees had organic plant mulch in the planting holes and around the base. This helps the trees cope with with very dry or wet weather. Also, worms love it!

The nesting season is well underway and it won't be long before grumpy characters like these are growing fast. Baby birds need a huuuuge amount of insects to eat, and you can help them by letting grass grow long and planting for nectar and pollen through the year. Daffodils, dandelions and flowering currant are particularly good at this time of year 👌

🎵 The hills are alive with the sound of lawnmowers... You are probably admiring how great that first cut of the year looks. Top tip - help wildlife with long grass and flowers around your lawn. It's a real help for early Spring wildlife, and makes your lawn look better too 🌺

Finished! Plenty of bark mulch to keep weeds down and moisture in (it's got to stop raining one day, surely?) We've used gritted safety strips on the steps as timber gets slippy in the rain...they also work well on decking, boardwalks and ramps.

Introducing the Hedge Hammock. All-weather, long-lasting and amazingly comfortable. Also a reminder that the nesting season starts in March, so this is your last weekend opportunity to trim your Hedge Hammock. Or plant one! 😊

Box profile sheets make a neat, maintenance-free retaining wall for a garden terrace. Larch capping makes it look rather elegant, I think. The collie on the top is optional 😊 Just got the steps to finish (if it ever stops raining....sigh)
