Replacing rotten fence-top & frame. 27 running metres! Topped & clad with flashing tape (v sticky in the heat!!), this will last now for years!

Enjoyed an ice lolly with Kirk, & the customer!
Gosh, it was a warm one! (The day, not the lolly; that would have made it a drink.)

A very lovely friend of mine asked if I could do something with a broken blanket box… She said her son had kept his toys in it, but through the passage of time, the lid got broken off (and lost) and it was just getting battered in an outhouse.
She asked if I could make a key box from the timber.
We then discussed something else that could be given to her son as a housewarming present.
We agreed that a mirror frame might be a nice touch.

I tried to keep as many of the features of the blanket box, and the patina of the wood (over a century old, I reckon) and keep the feel of their farmhouse home.

I loved doing this! Thank you, Rhian!
