🚗 Automotive projects are about much more than a showroom.

Behind the customer-facing space can be workshops, servicing operations, vehicle movements, specialist building services, drainage, accessibility requirements and numerous safety and maintenance considerations.

Getting those elements to work together requires good technical coordination.

At Starki AEC we're developing our automotive property work around exactly those intricacies, combining Principal Designer, technical design and design-assurance support.

One of the principles behind our approach is simple:

It keeps important design issues visible and helps multidisciplinary teams move them towards resolution rather than allowing them to disappear between disciplines.

🎉 Today, Starki AEC turns 7!

Seven years ago today, while at a family wedding near West Neom, an idea was taking shape.

It all started with a one-page business plan, a basic website, and a genuine vision that there was room for a different kind of architecture practice. One which would be built on professionalism, trustworthiness, and long-term relationships.

Fast forward seven years, and Starki AEC is a North-Star leading four distinct parts of the business.

We're proud to be a CIAT Chartered Practice, delivering projects across the UK, from South Wales to Scotland (plus everywhere between), and trusted by homeowners, businesses, contractors, developers and public sector organisations alike.

We've celebrated award wins, overcome huge design challenges, grown our services, and had the privilege of working with some incredible clients and collaborators along the way.

To everyone who has commissioned us, partnered with us, recommended us, or just supported our journey over the past seven years...

✅ Happy Planning Decision Friday!

Great news to end the week 🙌 planning permission has now been approved for our Llys Y Grug project in Llanmorlais, Swansea.

Working closely with the client and planning team, the scheme delivers front, side and rear roof extensions along with internal reconfiguration and a new garage arrangement, creating a modernised home while respecting the character of the host dwelling and surrounding area.

A strong collaborative effort between client, consultant team and planning officers helped shape the final proposal, and we’re pleased to see it receive approval 🤝

⏭️ We're now moving forward into technical design and construction information so works can commence on site.

Well done to everyone involved 👏 a great result to finish the week.

We have another new property in Pembrokeshire and the tenants are now moving in just in time for Summer to really start!

This home is fitted with some energy saving technology like solar panels and a new boiler to help them live with less anxiety about bills in the winter. The home has also been fitted with ramps and accessible bathrooms and kitchen so that the tenants moving in can live more independently and can cook and clean with more ease than in their old homes.

FCHA works on projects like this across the whole of Wales and counties in England like Shropshire and Telford. Thank you to Starki Architecture, Bay Quantity Surveyors, R&M Williams, Visit Pembrokeshire for their help on this property!
