When I was a little child, my mom used to hand over a piece of paper and a pencil so that I could stay silent while drawing... She used to paint. I still remember her oil paint-smelling room. I also like to play the piano, but drawing is different...
Although sometimes interrupted, I continued my work through some courses and workshop
s. I like history and am incredibly impressed by 19th cc lithography, so I drew like that for years. I enjoy working with colours, too, but the details in these etchings seduce me. Painting is creating. While creating, men can't be unhappy. That's probably why painting, by its nature, makes me happy. "Ressam" değilim ama kendimi bildim bileli resim yapıyorum...
Daha küçükken misafirliğe gittiğimizde annem elime kağıt kalem tutuştururmuş, resim yapayım da uslu durayım diye :)
Annem resim yapardı, yağlı boya kokan odasını unutmam. Resim yapmayı hep sevdim. Piyano çalmayı da severim, ama resim yapmak bambaşka.. Ara sıra kesintiye uğrasa da resim çalışmalarım gerek çeşitli kurslarda, gerek atölyelerde devam etti. Tarihe ilgim vardır ve 19yy taş baskı gravürlerinden çok etkilendiğim zamanlar bu gravürlere benzer çizimler yapmaktan çok hoşlandım. Renklerle çalışmak da hoş, ama o gravürlerin detaycılığı beni baştan çıkarmadı değil...
Resim yapmak yaratıcı. İnsan yaratırken mutsuz olamıyor belki. Resim yapmak doğası gereği beni mutlu ediyor...
