A long overdue return to Cambridge University Faculty of Classics' free Drink and Draw evening saw us immersed in sculpture with our sketch books. I recently enjoyed a lovely evening of drawing from life with friends at a Neotists' Drink and Draw event, under the expert guidance of artist Paul Berryman. It's been too long since I drew from life, and it shows in my bunch of 8 minutes efforts, but it was great fun and excellent practise.

"Landmarks" was the latest challenge at Eaton Arts Group. I created a depiction of Copenhagen's Little Mermaid, having seen the real thing during our Christmas holiday. She was drawn in watercolour pencil, and her silvery sheen is from silver ink, some neat, some diluted. I'm pleased with how she turned out. I will be gifting the picture to our friend in Denmark who hosted us.

Beautiful Beau was my latest pet portrait. He's a dark chocolate lab, belonging to my friend Kath Doyle. She won the commission as a raffle prize, and was very happy with the result. 😊
