Good afternoon,

I hope you will join me in offering congratulations to Phil Buckley who has accepted the invitation to become Managing Director of Edsons.

Phil joined Edsons in 2000 as an apprentice cabinet maker. After qualifying he quickly became a senior cabinet maker and further expanded his skills to other key areas of the manufacturing process including veneering, spraying and woodwork machinery. His progression saw him move to London in 2008 to become a site fitter working predominantly on our sites in the city and home counties, gaining valuable experience in general building practices, coordination with other trades and collaborative working with our clients’ professional teams. In 2014 he moved back to Nottingham and took on the role of project manager before becoming Edsons’ operations director for the last 6 years. Many of you will know of his professionalism, dedication to the projects, ability to engender a team spirit and communication skills. He is extremely well placed to take this next step.

In his new role Phil will be responsible for all day-to-day aspects of the business and be instrumental in driving the business in the forthcoming years.

For my part I will become chairman of the company and concentrate on strategic matters including liaison with key clients.

Both Phil and I take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support of Edsons.

Kindest regards

Philip
