One of the saddest parts (I'm an emotional person😅) of making a wedding cake for me, was the thought of it being cut up! Obviously a cake is made to eat, but the time and effort put in to make it look beautiful, for it to then be destroyed, well I try not to think about it! 🤪

Luckily paintings are not made that way, they can be kept and treasured forever!

I created this painting as a special keepsake to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary and love that we have a unique piece of art to celebrate and remember our special day by.

I'm also currently working on a commission for one of my lovely cake customers to transfer a design I painted on their wedding cake, which they loved, to a large canvas which they can keep forever! :) I will share pics of that and their cake soon...

It is with a mixture of sadness, nervousness and excitement that I share this post and announce the closure of my cake business.

I am sad because I remember the early days back in 2020, when I put everything in to teaching myself how to make wedding cakes and so desperately wanted to become successful. And through a lot of hardwork and very late nights, I did make it, and have had the privilege of making so many beautiful wedding cakes! I am so grateful to all the lovely couples who chose me to be part of their special day ❤️
I have also had the privilege of working with many lovely suppliers and lots of amazing venues who have recommended me to their couples and I'm so grateful to you too!

Through my cake journey, I was reintroduced to painting, something I hadn't done since school and this has ignited a spark that I can't ignore. I have decided to focus on my art moving forward, I have been trying to do both recently but cakes require a lot of time and attention and alongside my family commitments, it leaves very little time for any art.

So I am excited to be able to focus on my art but also very nervous to leave behind something successful that I had built from scratch to start all over again...

I have one more wedding cake to make this year, which will definitely make me emotional especially as I'm delivering it to one of my favourite venues, and I still have more photos to post of previous wedding cakes but I am no longer taking any new bookings.
