We’re channeling our inner Fred Dibnah today, flat cap and all, because frankly, this wall looks like a crumbling chimney out together with nothing more than hope and a bit of spit.
As soon as the old tiles started coming away, the sub-base just crumbled like a cheap biscuit.
It’s a classic problem across the North West. Standard plasterboard simply can’t handle moisture ingress over time, leading to blown grout, hidden leaks, and walls that turn to dust when you touch them. Fred would have had a few choice words about this kind of modern building standard!
