Next up in our Real Spaces series is Mhairi, whose Little Green Room sits at the bottom of her family’s garden in Thornbury, overlooking their wildlife pond.
We spent the day with Mhairi discovering how the garden has become a haven for wildlife, from dragonflies and damselflies around the pond to birds, bats and even the occasional hedgehog and fox.
As a keen gardener, Mhairi told us how easy it is to get caught up in working in the garden and forget to simply sit back and enjoy it. Their Little Green Room has given the whole family a place to do just that – whether it’s somewhere quiet for the children to study, a spot to relax together in the evening, or extra space when family come to stay.
Thanks again to Mhairi and her family for welcoming us into their garden and sharing their story with us.
