Re-roof completed in pucklechurch for existing customers. 🏠

This was an old clay pan tile roof which had definitely stood the test of time and seen better days.

We started by removing all the clay pan tiles, stripping all felt and batten back to bare rafters. Once we had done so, we then inspected all the rafters and we were pleasantly surprised to see that all the rafters were fine. As we’d expect a rafter or two on an old building to be showing some sign of age / rot.

With all the rafters good, we then felt and battened using new breathable felt and new treated battens and we also, fitted new felt support trays.

Now the roof is ready for tiling, so we tiled the roof in, using Redland grovesbury tiles in tudor brown, as per the customers request.

Once the roof had been tiled, it’s ready for lead work and ridging off.
We used code 4 lead for all soakers and cover flashings and we ridged off using matching tudor brown ridge tiles.

Resulting in another roof completed and some more happy customers 👍

Recent 30 square meter flat roof replacement completed in pucklechurch 🤩

- Old felt roof and original boards stripped back to joists ✅

- Old insulation topped up with new to ensure maximum insulation whilst ensuring air gap for adequate air flow, so the roof doesn’t condensate ✅

- Re-decked the roof using 18 mm tongue and groove OSB boards ✅

- New single ply fleece glued to new OSB boards and finished off with new single ply reinforced flashings, all being heat welded to ensure a water tight seal for years to come ✅

- Old fascia’s and gutter removed and replaced with new ✅

It’s been a couple of weeks since we’ve last uploaded anything, so we thought we would finish this week off with a garage roof replacement done this week 🏠

- Old asbestos sheets removed and wrapped in 1000 gauge polythene to ensure safe transportation ✅

- Old 4x2 timber wall plate removed and replaced with new ✅

- New powder coated sheets fitted along with perimeter trims ✅

A simple job, done right 👍

This job is actually a full circle moment for me, as I done the EPDM flat roof with an old employer when I first started out in the trade.

Small lead job done last week ✅

The previous 6 inch lead cover flashing had failed due to a bad chase joint, so much so that we replaced the 6 inch cover flashing with 9 inch. Allowing us to go higher and avoid using the old chase joint, creating a water tight seal. 👏 👏

Regardless of how big or small a job is, for us it really is a case of no expense spared. We believe in using the best materials to ensure your roofs are water tight for years to come. 🏠

Job done last week.

We got a call to say their flat roof was leaking. Upon closer inspection the roof itself was in good condition. However, the perimeters weren’t. So we capped the copping stones with new single ply and fitted new code 4 lead cover flashings, resulting in a lovely job and giving this roof an extra chance for years to come. 👏👏

It’s not always worse case scenario and we’re always happy to do what we can with whatever budget you got, as we know times are tough.
