We started this job the first day of the heatwave. We haven’t been on it every day but lots of time over 7 weeks and I think it’s rained once in that time. I really enjoyed the job but we filled two 8 yard skips with old concrete and the only way out down a pretty long lane.
We moved 3 tons of subbase and 3 tons of sand back in for the build. Tough work in 30 odd degrees when you’re 55! Thanks to my chaps, Mat, Rob and Jake for their help.
The rendering was crazy, drying as fast as I could put it on the walls. The walls will be painted so the finish is good enough but a real struggle when you’re an occasional renderer in tough conditions.
I also bought some wood that in extreme heat started bending out of shape before I even used it!
Anyway, another one done and customer happy. I look forward to seeing them adding their personal touches!
