🌧️ Rain at last! 💚

After weeks of dry weather, it's wonderful to see the gardens getting a much-needed drink. Lawns, borders, trees and shrubs will all be thanking the clouds today.

Of course, the weeds will be celebrating too... so we'll be ready for them! 😄

Enjoy the rain while it's here, and here's hoping it gives our gardens the boost they've been waiting for.

Hornet? Nope... Hoverfly! 👀🐝

This might look like a hornet, but it's actually a Hornet Hoverfly (Volucella zonaria) – one of the UK's largest hoverflies.

It's a clever mimic, using its hornet-like appearance to deter predators, but it's completely harmless to people. No sting, no aggression – just another brilliant pollinator helping our gardens thrive.

This one was enjoying the Buddleja, which is always buzzing with wildlife at this time of year.

It's amazing what you can spot when you stop and take a closer look! 🌿

England's dream may have ended against Argentina in the semi-finals... 😣💔

But there's still someone to cheer on in the Cheech & Tom's household...

Despite spending most of his life in the UK, Cheech is actually Spanish! 🇪🇸🐶

And if I'm being completely honest... so am I today! 😂

Nothing against Argentina, but after knocking England out, it's only fair we're backing La Roja tonight. 🇪🇸❤️💛❤️

Cheech chillin' in the shade this evening 😎🐾
It's been a hot one this week! 🥵 With red weather warnings in place, it's been all about sun cream, plenty of water, cool towels and sticking to the shade wherever possible.

☀️🌿 Keeping gardens going through the heat! 🌿☀️

With temperatures soaring today, it's all about giving plants a good deep soak to help them cope with the hot weather. A little extra water now can make a big difference.

Don't forget to look after yourselves too—drink plenty of water, take breaks, and try to stay out of the midday sun where possible.

🐶 Cheech has the right idea and is staying cool at home with plenty of cold water and several fans keeping him comfortable!
