Been called out because after putting in a new light bulb, it flashes like a a disco.

Once you know what to look for you’ll never make that mistake again, would be easier if the boxes just said DIMMABLE 😂 but hey ho common sense isn’t common

Quick little swap over of a broken light fitting… there was no bulb provided but have been assured it worked 😂

⚡ Before & After – Faulty Toilet Light in Lewes
I was called out to a property in Lewes after the customer reported that their toilet light would make a loud bang every time it was switched on.
After inspecting the fitting, I found the pendant was faulty and replaced it with a new one, leaving the customer with a safe, reliable light once again.
Sometimes it’s tempting to ignore little electrical issues, but unusual noises, sparks or burning smells are all signs that something isn’t right and should be checked as soon as possible.

💡 5 Simple Electrical Checks Every Homeowner Can Do Safely
Most electrical faults start as small issues. Here are a few things you can check yourself (without taking anything apart!):
✅ Test your smoke alarms once a month using the test button.
✅ If a socket or switch feels unusually warm, stop using it and have it checked.
✅ Don't overload extension leads, especially with heaters, kettles or tumble dryers.
✅ If your consumer unit has an RCD, test it every 6 months using the "Test" button.
✅ Replace damaged plugs, cracked sockets or frayed extension leads as soon as possible.
⚠️ If your electrics are repeatedly tripping, lights are flickering, or you notice a burning smell, don't ignore it. These are often early warning signs that should be investigated before they become a bigger problem.
A little preventative maintenance can save a lot of money and inconvenience later.

Before & after of this outside lantern light upgrade completed today 🔧💡
The old fitting had seen better days, so we replaced it with a new lantern light complete with PIR motion sensor for added security and convenience.
Perfect for lighting up driveways, entrances, and side access without leaving lights on all night.

Was called by a new client in Hove as they wanted to upgrade their existing lights as they were showing wear and tear, so here is a montage of the process
1. The lights
2. The prep to keep mess to a minimum
3. The the customer had supplied (had to make holes triple the size with triple plasterboard 🥲)
4. Existing cables showing single insulation (this will cause issues on EICR’s as not good practice)
5. Tea
6. Tea Test
7. A template to make the next 3 lights easier as the first one took ages! maybe a template would be handy to have for installers
8. Lights installed
9. Didn’t need the dust sheet as I tried to eat and wear all the mess instead
