From the first timber to the final slate—the DaVinci Carpentry team has been busy on this one! 🔨✨
Swipe through the photos to see the full progression of this roof build, from the bare bones framework to a completely weather-tight finish.
Here is how a project like this comes together:
📐 The Skeleton: Hand-cut rafters and joists engineered for a rock-solid structural foundation.
🛡️ The Protection: High-quality breathable membrane and secure battens laid down to keep everything insulated and weatherproof.
🏡 The Finish: Finished off with premium dark slate tiling, a sleek flush-fit skylight to flood the new space with natural light, and clean black fascia and guttering.
Whether it’s a loft conversion, a new extension, or a structural roof overhaul, we take pride in the work you see and the framework you don't.
Planning a project of your own? Let’s get it sorted.

BEFORE ➡️ AFTER

This corner used to be wasted space between the TV unit and the kitchen.

Last year we built the full fireplace feature — bespoke TV units, shelving, oak mantel, the brick slip wall behind the stove and the stone hearth.

The client knew exactly what she wanted for this gap, so we came back to build a custom shelving unit to match the original cabinetry and added a brick slip wall to tie everything together.

Now the whole wall flows as one and the space is fully used.

Sometimes it’s the small details that complete the room 👌

Sometimes a room just needs the right carpentry to bring it to life. 🪵✨
We built these bespoke alcove units to frame the fireplace and make the whole wall feel balanced, warm and full of character. With soft lighting, detailed panelling and plenty of storage, it turns a beautiful feature into the real heart of the room.
This is the kind of project we love doing — mixing craftsmanship with design so it feels like it’s always been part of the house.
If you’re thinking about alcove units, bespoke shelving, media walls or a renovation, we’d love to help.
