Finished, furnished, and ready for the summer 🌤️

From building site to summer ready. We’ve officially wrapped up this orangery build, and it’s been a pleasure to see it all come together. We chose to pair the natural warmth of the green oak with sharp aluminium bifold doors, it’s a bit of a contrast, but it works perfectly for connecting the house to the garden.

For us, it’s not just about getting the frame up; it’s about those final details - the way the timber meets the existing brickwork and how the light fills the space once the bifolds are pulled back. Really proud of the finish on this one, and we hope the owners enjoy it for years to come.

Why we build your frame twice.

Behind every finished Richoak project is a story of sawdust and precision that starts long before we arrive on-site.

In our Shropshire workshop - a rustic barn where light floods through the doors and the air is thick with the scent of fresh oak - we perform the “Pre-Fit.”

What does that mean for you?
It means we assemble your entire structural frame right here on our workshop floor. Every chunky post, every curved truss, and every intricate mortise and tenon joint is hand-finished with chisels and saws to millimetre precision.

We don’t believe in “kits.” We believe in validation. Zero Guesswork: By the time the frame reaches your site, every piece has already been proven to fit perfectly.

• Master Craftsmanship: We use traditional hand tools because they allow us to feel the character of the green oak, ensuring a soul that machines simply can’t replicate.

• Efficient Raising: A Richoak frame goes up smoothly because the hard work was already perfected in our workshop.

A sneak peek inside our latest Shropshire Orangery build. The essential elements - our traditional oak frame, the textural brickwork, and the flagstone flooring are all in place.
The structure is complete. The stage is set. The final layer of interior design is all that remains. We’re excited to see the final reveal!

There’s just something about the way green oak warms up a room when the light hits. We designed this oak extension to be the best spot in the house - the kind of spot where you actually want to put your phone down and just watch the clouds.
