I’m so excited to finally share this properly!
This November, I’m taking Spin City into the autumn woods at Brandon Country Park for two very special creative textile workshop days—and I would absolutely love you to join me.
Spin the Wild Woods
Saturday 14 November
A full day of creative spinning inspired by woodland colour, texture and natural details. We’ll explore thick-and-thin yarn, locks, coils, beehives, wrapping, core spinning and ways of translating the forest around us into yarn.
Weave the Wild Woods
Sunday 15 November
A full day of textured weft-led weaving: exploring how to take a simple warp and transform it with colour and scale, clasped weft, loop, rya and leno and more, all inspired by the woods around us.
You can come to either day, or make a whole creative weekend of it. If you join me for both, Saturday’s spinning experiments might find their way into Sunday’s weaving—but each day is designed to feel complete on its own.
These workshops are for spinners and weavers who would like to get a little more adventurous with their ideas. We will be taking a wander through the forest to get first hand inspiration before working on our yarns or cloth.
There are just 12 places on each day.
