👀 Seen this in your garden? Don't ignore it.

These holes at the base of a wall are active RAT BURROWS. This is what we found at a property in West Yorkshire yesterday.

With the weather turning, rats are burrowing close to houses, sheds and decking to find warmth and food for winter. One burrow can quickly become 5 or 6, and then they are in your cavity walls.

3 signs it's rats and not just a hole:
1. Smooth, 5-8cm wide entrance with no webbing
2. Freshly dug soil fanned out at the front
3. Often near a wall, fence or shed base

If you have this in your garden, do NOT block the holes. You will just drive them inside.

We will come out, confirm what it is, and sort it properly with a safe, targeted treatment plan.

🐀 This tiny hole = a big rat problem.

In the UK, broken air vents are one of the TOP ways rats get into homes.

One cracked air brick is all it takes. Rats can fit through a gap the size of a 50p and will chew it bigger in one night.

It leads straight under your floorboards.

Don't block them completely - your property needs ventilation to prevent damp. What you need is a stainless steel vent cover / rat-proof mesh fitted correctly.

If you've got a broken vent, get it checked before something moves in for winter.

🐀 Did you know rats can cause house fires?

It's a huge problem in the UK right now. As temperatures drop, rats move indoors looking for warmth - and they LOVE to chew.
