We are 3 schools down, 8 to go, and currently operating in a refreshing 36-degree kiln. Here is what the daily grind looks like for the lads right now: The Tarmac Microwave: At 36 degrees, Dorset tarmac stops being a solid ground surface and becomes angry, melting liquorice. It stores the sun's energy and radiates it directly up our trousers. We are essentially trapped in a heat sandwich. Wrestling the Jackhammer: Imagine holding a vibrating, engine-powered heat generator while your hands are slick with sweat, trying to break through asphalt that keeps trying to glue the chisel inside it forever. The Steel Radiators: 656 mesh panels are engineered from pure, unadulterated heat-sinking steel. Carrying them across a scorching school playground in this weather is identical to carrying a blazing central heating radiator around. The Fingerprint Destroyer: After threading thousands of blistering M8 security bolts through tiny clips with fingers swollen to the size of Cumberland sausages, our phone fingerprint scanners no longer recognise us. The Liquid Diet: We have consumed 12 litres of water, four lukewarm energy drinks, and zero bathroom breaks. We are now 40% tarmac dust, 60% sheer spite, and 100% liquid. Three schools successfully secured. Eight more Bournemouth schools to go before our boots permanently melt into the playground. So if you see the Boundary Fencing truck parked up and the lads slumped against a postcrete bag, please just throw a cold bottle of water at our heads. 🛠️🔥☀️
