Sometimes when we go and do site visits, clients struggle with the knowledge of their garden. The ideas and information we will save you money. Especially if you really want a low maintenance garden. Some clients don't understand the value of mulching. Let me explain.
The more you mulch the less you spend w**ding. The more you save on watering, The growth and quality of your plants are massive and you spend less on feeds. Nature was here before we were. Plants have survived without us.
Our job is to use nature to give our gardens the best. Collect leaves in a black bin bag. You don't need a forest worth to create the biodiversity. Mulch also create heat and humidity to your borders. When broken down by insects, the soil becomes loose. Which allows the rooting system in your borders to expand. If you use pots the same needs to applied. Leave more space in your pot for mulch. 90% of my pots have no visible dirt. Stones or woodchip. There are many plants that love woodchip. Especially once it starts breaking down.
Even if you just put your grass clippings in a nonvisible place in your borders it will feed the borders
also will keep and trap moisture. Recently as I've said I found my first w**d. This was brought in as a gift from a client. The reason I dont have w**ds is because I mulch.
