Closed-cell spray foam removal and re-roof completed 🏠

This roof had closed-cell foam sprayed directly onto the underside of the tiles, one of the hardest types to deal with, as it bonds tiles, felt, and timbers together.

Our team stripped the roof, removed all the foam, inspected and treated the timbers, then re-roofed using the original tiles with a new breathable membrane and battens.
Same tiles, same look, but a clean, breathable, mortgage-friendly roof underneath.

People tend to think of us for the big stuff: full reroofs,
large flat roofs, complete tile replacements.

We do plenty of those. But a fair amount of our work is the
smaller detail, a flat section over a porch or extension, an
EPDM repair where an old felt roof has failed, leadwork tying
new sections back into existing tiles.

This one's a good example. Compact flat section, neat
integration with the surrounding tile work, leadwork dressed
in properly. The kind of job that looks straightforward in the
photo but takes proper time to get right.

We had a very positive experience with Countrywide Roofing, who removed closed-cell spray foam insulation and replaced our roof structure. We are in a conservation area, so there were strict requirements to comply with a range of regulations. From the first visit and estimate through to completing the work, the admin, management and roofing teams were all professional, flexible and communicative, and we were kept informed of the progress and details of the work. The end result is an excellent job, carried out in sometimes unusually difficult weather conditions. Thank you!

Full chimney refurb with new lead flashing.

Old top brickwork was past saving eroded courses, failing
mortar, water tracking down through the stack. Stripped back,
rebuilt course by course, pots re-bedded with fresh haunching,
finished with stepped lead flashing dressed neatly down to the
tiles.

Chimney and leadwork is one of those jobs where you can spot
amateur work straight away. Done properly, it should last 50
years. Done badly, you'll be back in the loft with a bucket
inside two winters.
