This is what happens when your sealed units are not properly supported in your window frames. This particular job today, both sealed units had failed due to only being supported by the glass transit pads. No spacers where found in these which caused the sealed unit to blow (condensation in the glass). Not only that, if a sash is not properly toed and healed the sash will drop causing issues when trying to open and close it and may damage your hinges and espag mechanism.

Here's an A rated UPVC door we did in stamford at the weekend. A lovely new mouse grey with Anthracite surround. This one was a bit of a challenge due to the location on the property but none the less we always get the job done to a high standard! We always say, if we wouldn't put it in OUR home we wouldn't do it. That applies not only for new windows & doors, but part replacement from locks, glass handles etc. In need of a repair, or advise? Today's job, removed an old broken and failing in many places Upvc french door. Top hinge had completely busted away from the sash of the door, customer could not open and close this door without great difficulty. With the age of this door it was time for a new one! Installed a fully reinforced frame, with toughened safety glass which was also A rated with vents for airflow and a keyed alike locking system. We are very pleased with the end result and so is the customer!

In any case, we always try to repair before we replace but today this was not the case.

Bit of hot one this morning, fitted this lovely new composite door with full frame reinforcement. The original door as you can see was absolutely wrecked and was really on its last legs! Much needed refresh and more secure, fitted with a BS 3 star lock. Customer was very happy.

A few from today, the heat doesn't stop us here at Key Master Windows & Doors. A pair of failed window hinges, customer was very lucky not to lose this opener entirely. Replaced with new MILA top hung hinges 👌👌and a night latch that had failed completely. Removed and installed a new 40mm one. Having issues with your windows and doors ?
