A few pictures from yesterday’s 1-to-1 UPVC training session with Vik 🔐🛠️

We worked through a range of common UPVC and composite door faults, including gearbox problems, standard UPVC door mechanisms and auto-locking composite doors.

The main focus was on effective ways to overcome these failures without having to snap out locks or cut through hooks, using the solution boxes we make.

A really productive hands-on session, working through real-world faults and showing different methods that can make these jobs that little bit easier.

The UPVC room is now complete!

It now features 6 auto-locking composite doors, 1 UPVC door, 1 composite door, 1 bifold door, 1 sliding patio door, 2 windows, and a dedicated wall displaying a wide range of failed gearboxes.

Another successful repair completed today!

This Winkhaus AV2 had jammed with the hooks refusing to retract from either the inside or outside using the key, leaving the door completely locked.

Using our new Auto Composite Door Box, we were able to gain entry without unnecessary damage. We then carried out the required repair and adjustments to get the door operating smoothly again.

A few photos from today’s 121 training session with good friend and fellow locksmith James.

We put the new training room through its paces, with James fitting his first composite door into an intentionally out-of-level frame to create a realistic challenge.

We also had plenty of hands-on time using the SJP UPVC Composite Box and the new SJP Auto Composite Box, working through real-world scenarios and techniques.

A great day of learning, problem-solving, and plenty of laughs. Thanks for coming over, James!

A broken and unsafe tilt-and-slide door has been brought back to life for a lovely
95-year-old lady.

Converted to operate on flag hinges.
Also making the door easier to operate for her to use.
Also a few locks keyed alike to work with one key for a new home owner.

Another faulty mortice lock sorted today after the customer’s key stopped working. After a quick discussion with the main man and good friend, we got it open with the bolt left completely intact 👌
