📢 A quick customer notice

We are taking a well deserved break from 8th–17th September, we personally won’t be available for emergency call-outs during this time.

Emergency cover has been arranged, so if you do have an urgent drainage problem, please still get in touch and we’ll get someone out to you.

We’ll also still be picking up messages and emails while we’re away, so please feel free to contact us regarding quotes, CCTV surveys or any non-urgent work you’d like booked in for when we return.

Normal service resumes 18th September.

A second opinion can make all the difference 👌

We were recently asked to investigate an ongoing leak into a basement in Caernarfon. A resin repair had already been carried out by another contractor, but unfortunately the leak remained.

Our CCTV inspection quickly identified the problem. The previous repair had been installed on the wrong section, the manhole channel had been cracked in the process, and the actual defect was a crack on the rest bend at the base of the stack.

The customer had tried several times to get the original contractor back but unfortunately received no response.

We carried out the correct resin repair to the rest bend before dye testing the system to make sure the leak was completely resolved.

✅ CCTV investigation
✅ Defect accurately located
✅ Resin repair completed
✅ Dye tested and confirmed watertight
✅ Everything sorted within the week

We all make mistakes from time to time — it’s how you deal with them afterwards that matters.

Property Sale Holding Up? We’re Here to Help!

We received a call at 2pm today from a customer who urgently needed a CCTV drainage & septic tank compliance survey.

The sale of the property was being held up, with the new owners due to collect the keys in just 2 weeks.

⏱️ Within 2 hours of the initial phone call, we were onsite carrying out the survey.

We understand how stressful property sales can be, especially when drainage paperwork or compliance issues are holding things up. Where we can, we’ll always do our best to get there quickly and keep things moving.

Recent project complete ✅
This property had been suffering with continuous blockages caused by an old in-line trap and heavy root ingress.
The customer opted for a permanent solution — removing the old drainage and replacing it with new PVC pipework, eliminating the joints where the roots were getting in and helping prevent the problem returning. 👍
All new pipework installed to the correct line and fall, connections band sealed, then surrounded with approximately 3 tonnes of pea gravel before reinstatement.
Another troublesome drainage system completed to a high standard. 👌

Training day completed! ✅

Today we were over at Jetchem in Birmingham completing our WJA course to keep up to date with the latest industry practices.

High-pressure water jetting is an incredibly effective way of clearing and cleaning drains, but it's also one of the most dangerous tools we use if it's not carried out correctly. That's why regular training is so important.

We're committed to keeping our skills up to date, working safely, and making sure every job is completed to the highest standard.

Saturday morning call-out in Llandudno. 🚐

Called out to a holiday let with a blocked kitchen sink.

The blockage was caused by a heavy build-up of grease inside the 32mm waste pipe. Once cleared, we ran the DrainSnake through the rest of the line to remove as much grease as possible and get everything flowing properly again.

It's a good reminder that grease and fats might go down the sink as a liquid, but they soon cool, stick to the pipework and eventually cause blockages.

If you've got slow-running sinks or recurring blockages, get them looked at before they become an emergency.

"Why would I buy that when I've got a bit of ply that's lasted me years?" We hear this one every now and again😅

No shade to the plywood clamp, respect to anything that's survived this long on site. But PipeGrip's made of heavy duty steel and clamps 110mm and 160mm PVC pipe securely every time without warping or splitting.

Sometimes the DIY fix works great, and sometimes it's worth not having to think about it.

A recent out-of-hours project completed at Ysbyty Gwynedd, where we were pleased to support AE & AT Lewis Ltd with specialist drainage works.

The works were carefully scheduled outside normal operating hours to keep disruption to hospital services to an absolute minimum.
