We’re very proud to share that Preou has been accepted onto the NHS SBS Hard FM 3 Frameworks.

For those who may not be familiar, NHS Shared Business Services frameworks help public sector organisations, including NHS Trusts, access approved suppliers for a range of services. Being accepted means we have met the required standards to be listed as an approved supplier, which is a fantastic achievement for the team and something we’ve worked incredibly hard towards.

Earlier this week, Charles attended the SBS Hard FM 3 Frameworks Introduction, where they covered how the frameworks work, social values, quality management, contracts, operations, suppliers, customers and the synergy of the frameworks.

We're looking forward to the 20th of October, when it becomes official and we can start delivering more NHS works through the framework.

A big thank you to the SBS organisers for an informative and well run introduction.

📍 New Project: Queen Elizabeth’s School, Barnet

Continuing our recent run of school projects, the Preou team is also pleased to be delivering improvements at Queen Elizabeth’s School in Barnet.

The works to the Fern Building are focused on improving comfort and ventilation in areas affected by overheating, with new air-conditioning and MVHR ventilation systems being installed alongside heating and cooling capability.

The project also includes associated ductwork, controls, grilles and insulation, electrical power and control installations, builders’ works, fire stopping, testing and commissioning.

Once complete, the upgraded systems will provide a more comfortable and better controlled environment for staff and students, with full training and handover provided to the school’s estates team.

Another fantastic project for the Preou team, and one we’re looking forward to seeing come together.

📍 Project Complete: St Claudine’s Catholic School for Girls

Another school project completed by the Preou team this summer, this time delivering a heating and domestic water services upgrade at St Claudine’s Catholic School for Girls.

The project involved removing the existing heating and domestic water services before installing new heating distribution pipework, panel radiators and fan convector units.

Works also included new domestic hot water flow and return pipework, cold-water distribution pipework, and connections into the retained Domestic Hot Water Services (DHWS) plant and cold-water storage system.

The team completed the associated electrical, controls and containment works, along with builders’ works, fire stopping, boxing-in and making good. Full testing, flushing, commissioning and handover documentation were also provided.

It’s been a busy summer for the Preou team, with a number of school projects delivered during the holiday period. It’s great to see these upgrades completed and ready to support schools as the new term gets underway.

📍 Project Complete: St Cyprian’s Greek Orthodox School, Croydon

We recently completed a heating plant upgrade at St Cyprian’s Greek Orthodox School, improving the school’s existing heating infrastructure.

Works included the replacement of the existing boilers within the main plant room, installation of a new flue system and setting up of a new Building Management System (BMS) to provide better control of the upgraded heating plant.

The new boiler installation was connected to the school’s existing heating pipework distribution system, with careful coordination needed to make sure the new equipment worked smoothly with the current set-up.

As part of the project, the team also replaced three pump sets within the upper level plant room, helping support reliable heating distribution across the wider school.

A well-coordinated upgrade, providing the school with a more modern and efficient heating system.

📍 Project Complete: The Derwent Centre, Harlow

The Preou team recently carried out pipework alteration works at The Derwent Centre in Harlow.

The works included draining down the system, cutting out a dead leg, completing the required pipework alterations, re-lagging and refilling the system.

With the hospital remaining operational, careful planning was key. Downtime was kept to just one hour, helping minimise disruption while the works were completed.

📍 Project Update: Morley Memorial School

At Morley Memorial School, the Preou team has completed a full strip out of the existing heating pipework before installing new pipework and radiators across the site.

The team has also taken care of the finishing works, including boxing in, painting, making good and fire stopping of the new penetrations.

From the main installation through to the final details, every stage has been considered to ensure the finished works are safe and suitable for the school environment. A fantastic job as always by the team 👏

📍 Project Update: Ashurst Hospital

The Preou team has been making good progress on our M&E project at Ashurst Hospital, refurbishing the existing mechanical and electrical elements within the Child and Family Centre building.

The works include a full rewire of all small power, data, lighting, fire alarms and intruder alarms, along with new distribution boards, sockets and switches throughout.

Mechanical works include a complete re-pipe of the heating system, domestic hot and cold water, and drainage, as well as new radiators, sanitaryware, supply and extract ductwork, fans and grilles served by a new MVHR system.

Once the new build extension is constructed, the team will begin the M&E fit-out works, including upgrades to the plant room equipment.
