☀️ Our next installation, completed in Belfast

This new solar and battery system is expected to give our customer around 79% independence from the grid, with estimated savings of £1,260 in the first year and £37,800 over the lifetime of the system.

The 10kWh MyEnergi Libbi battery stores the excess electricity generated by the 15 solar panels during the day, ready to be used later when the home needs it. This means the customer can use more of their own solar and buy less electricity from the grid.

☀️ Another commercial solar project completed for HANNON Transport

Our commercial team have completed a new 151kW solar PV system at Hannon Transport’s Lusk facility just outside Dublin, alongside four 22kW AC EV chargers to support the growing electrification of their fleet.

The new solar system will generate around 20% of the electricity used across this busy logistics facility, reducing the amount of energy Hannon’s need to purchase from the grid and delivering a projected payback of just 4 to 5 years. The project was also part funded through the SEAI Non-Domestic Microgen Grant, with our team helping Hannon’s through the process as part of the overall project.

This is now the third solar installation we’ve delivered for the Hannon group, following previous projects at their headquarters in Aghalee and Hannon Steel at Nutts Corner. This is a good example of how businesses with high energy demands can use solar and EV charging to reduce running costs and invest in their energy infrastructure for the years ahead.

☀️ Commercial project update at , Mallusk

Work is now underway on a new 770kW rooftop solar PV installation at Brett Martin’s Mallusk site, with our commercial team currently progressing with the installation across the facility.

Brett Martin is a leading manufacturer of specialist plastic products for the construction, fabrication, print and display sectors, supplying customers across more than 70 countries worldwide. With the Mallusk facility remaining fully operational throughout the project, our team are working within a live manufacturing environment, carefully coordinating each stage of the installation around ongoing site activity to ensure production can continue without disruption.

Once complete, the system is expected to generate around 560,000kWh of electricity every year, providing a significant source of renewable electricity directly on site and helping to reduce Brett Martin’s reliance on electricity from the grid. We’ll be sharing more from Mallusk as work progresses towards testing and commissioning.

☀️ Commercial project update at McQuillan Companies Environmental

Our commercial team are currently on site at McQuillan Environmental, where work is progressing on a new 125kW solar PV installation paired with an 80kW solar inverter, expanding on the 15kW solar system already in place at the site.

As one of Northern Ireland’s leading waste management and recycling businesses, McQuillan Environmental provides recycling, hazardous waste management and resource recovery services to businesses across Northern Ireland, GB and ROI. Once complete, the expanded solar system is projected to reduce the site’s annual electricity costs by up to 37%, helping to lower reliance on grid electricity and reduce the long term cost of powering its operations.
