The Integrated Care Board & MP finally listened & have given Toothbank the licence to take on NHS patients.

“Jarrow Marchers are met with ‘cascading coins’ in Nottingham, and presented with 200 sets of underwear, 32 pairs of boots and 12 trousers and socks”

90 years ago today - 20th October 1936 the Jarrow Crusade marched through Nottingham on their way to Parliament.

Protesting against the loss of 10,000 jobs at Palmers Ship yard, the poverty & the malnutrition rife in their home town. The PM refused to meet them.

Look at their faces, the lives they lead. Fascinating to see what the past can tell us about today.

Wonder how they would be received today if they turned up in Nottingham? With coins and clothes or indifference?

Game day Sunday the 18th of October. Nottingham Casuals are hosting the first inner warrior north east pod game of the season!
Casuals have a big player turn out for our home game and its our new captain's first turn as skipper!
Inner warrior allow for flexible game formats and mixed abilities so we have some contact and non-contact players playing.

Because we all love Hedgehogs.

Five new hedgehog habitat boxes have been in installed across Beeston Rylands today (13 October) thanks to Notts Green Rewards! 🦔 💚

The five habitat houses were successfully added at suitable locations after residents were given the chance to vote on a choice of animal houses. Populations of these wonderful spikey mammals have declined in the past two decades. By providing these additional habitat boxes, five new safe and sheltered places have been created allowing local populations to nest and/or hibernate in, helping to maintain and increase their populations.
