Double boiler service over at St Mary’s Church in Wootton this week 🔥

Two Glow-worm boilers keeping the building warm, both stripped down, cleaned, checked over & put back together properly.

Older systems like these need a bit of care and attention, especially in a building this age but they run beautifully when they’re looked after.

Servicing isn’t the most exciting job we do but it’s one of the most important. It keeps things safe, keeps things efficient & importantly means no nasty surprises when the cold weather arrives.

Throwback to this second fix bathroom we did over on Rosamond Road in Bedford some time back 🚽

A Burlington suite giving the property that classic feel, matched up with the main bathroom we fitted for the same customers a few years back. The combi boiler sits tucked away inside the larder units, running the underfloor heating in here and the rest of the house too. Finished off with some detailed grey panelling!

Not bad at all for a room that used to be the kitchen at one point for this family 😍

Rebecca had a problem…we came out the same day, found the fault and fixed it there and then 🔥

She needed someone quickly, we were free & the job got done in one visit rather than dragging on.

Here’s a hole in a flue manifold we came across on a job a while back and it’s a good reminder of why servicing matters.

A small crack or hole like this can let dangerous gases, including carbon monoxide, leak into your home instead of being safely vented outside. It’s a serious risk, and the frightening part is it usually goes completely unnoticed until something goes wrong.

You do not always see what is going on inside your heating system…but this job we did a while back is a good reminder of why it is worth checking.

We got called out to this system (swipe left to see). Rust, sludge and years of built-up debris had taken over & the pump was in a real state. Have a proper look at those photos as they say it all 😳 All that gunk clogs up the pipes, stops the heat moving around like it should, and makes the whole system work far harder than it needs to.

You end up with a home that never quite gets warm and the bills creeping their way up month after month.

So we fitted a brand new boiler and a new unvented cylinder, gave the whole system a good flush, and got everything running as it should be. Warm home, lower running costs and no more nursing a system that is on its last legs.

Throwback to one of our favourites from last year 🔥

This was a full bathroom update from top to bottom & it’s still one we look back on and feel really pleased with.

We laid new Karndean flooring, which looks great and holds up brilliantly to everyday use and tiled the walls in a soft beige with matching silicone to keep everything looking neat and finished.

The old bath made way for a 1700mm walk-in shower tray, so there’s plenty of room and it’s a lot easier to use day to day. We also took the ceiling right back and put in new downlights which brightened the whole room up no end 👌
