Some jobs test your skills more than others.

Decorating a 24/7 live ward at University Hospital Lewisham means every move has to be planned around patient care. No shortcuts. No unnecessary disruption. Just quality workmanship delivered safely and professionally.

Despite the challenges, we’re now 4 out of the 6 bed bays complete and around 50% of the way through the project. We’ve even completed areas that weren’t programmed to start yet by adapting to the live environment and making every available window count.

As GC Painting Contractors continues to grow, we’re looking for a Freelance Estimator to support our commercial and operational team.

This is a flexible, work-from-home position, initially requiring just a few days per month, with the opportunity to grow alongside the business.

✔ Pricing & tender preparation
✔ Month-end valuations
✔ Retention release applications
✔ Commercial support across ongoing projects

What we’re looking for:

🔹 Estimating experience within construction preferred
🔹 Decorating industry experience preferred but not essential
🔹 Strong attention to detail
🔹 Good commercial awareness
🔹 Self-motivated and organised

This stunning lounge is taking shape beautifully, with 3.5m high ceilings, three carefully chosen colours, and incredible attention to detail throughout. From the ornate ceiling work to the bespoke wall panelling, every element has been crafted to bring out the character and elegance of this space.
