The ideal time to get those gates taken care of. These gates and pillars had been painted and then varnished. The varnish was starting to fail and the wood had no ability to breath. Gates removed and all surfaces paint stripped by hand, sanded and a natural oil applied. A lot of work but worth the effort.

Definitely a shed repair time of year. This one was covered in a breathable membrane during the winter as the felt was rotten and to enable the wood to dry out. Repairs to the woodwork completed and refelted today
