A recent annual service on this Samsung air source heat pump 🔧

The system was working well, but the outdoor coil had collected plenty of dirt and needed a thorough chemical clean. The before-and-after pictures show the difference!

We also cleaned the magnetic filter, checked the fans and electrical connections, carried out refrigerant leak checks and tested the hot water cylinder’s safety valves and expansion vessels.

A heating pressure relief valve needs replacing, along with a few smaller recommendations to help keep the installation in good condition. The customer received a detailed service report with photographs and clear advice on what to prioritise.

Regular servicing helps keep your heat pump clean and gives us the opportunity to spot maintenance issues early.

Keeping busy with the ASHP work while we patiently wait for the AC stock to start arriving! 🔧❄️🔥

Plenty of heat pump servicing, fault finding and repairs keeping us on the tools in the meantime.

Today’s job involved getting the gauges on and digging into the refrigeration side of an ASHP — exactly the sort of diagnostics we enjoy.

Hopefully it won’t be long before the AC installs are back in full swing too! 💪

⚡ Another installation being prepared properly by Appian Heat Pumps.

While we’re waiting for stock to arrive, we’ve been getting ahead with the electrical work ready for two new Daikin air-conditioning systems.

On this property, that meant a complete consumer unit upgrade, new dedicated supplies to both AC systems, external rotary isolators, surge protection and even an additional fire protection device — bringing the installation up to and beyond current requirements.

When comparing air-conditioning quotes, it’s important to check exactly what is included. A cheaper price may not account for the complete electrical installation, and simply finding somewhere to connect an AC unit doesn’t necessarily mean the finished installation will meet the required electrical standards.

At Appian Heat Pumps, we look at the complete job. Where electrical upgrades are required, they’re identified and carried out properly rather than overlooked to keep the quote down.

The electrical side is now ready, so as soon as the two Daikin systems arrive, we can get straight on with the installation. ❄️⚡

We've been a bit quiet on Facebook lately... but for a good reason! 😅

The last few months have been absolutely non-stop, and we've been working seven days a week to keep up with the incredible demand. We simply haven't had the time to keep our social media updated!

Here are just a few photos of some of the installations, servicing and repair work we've been carrying out recently. Every job is completed with the same attention to detail and pride in our workmanship, whether it's a single bedroom air conditioning system or a larger whole-home or commercial installation.

A massive thank you to everyone who has trusted Appian Heat Pumps, recommended us to friends and family, and been patient while we've worked through such a busy period. It really is appreciated.

⚠️ Current Industry Update

Due to unprecedented demand nationwide, many manufacturers are experiencing shortages of air conditioning equipment, with lead times changing week by week. If you're considering having air conditioning or an air-to-air heat pump installed this year, it's well worth getting in touch now so we can arrange a survey and secure your equipment as soon as possible.

We're continuing to take bookings, place equipment on back order where necessary, and wherever possible we'll always look to bring installation dates forward if stock arrives earlier than expected.

This one was a 3-room Mitsubishi Heavy Industries multi-split system, providing efficient cooling and heating to multiple rooms from a single outdoor unit.
