A perfect little Saturday job! 👌

This staircase has been given a completely new look with decorative wall panelling, creating a timeless feature while keeping the cost down.

Rather than replacing the existing woodwork, I incorporated the existing handrail and stair stringer into the design to achieve the panelled effect in a budget-friendly way. It’s a great example of how you can make a big impact without a full renovation.

With projects like this, getting the proportions right is everything. The spacing, panel sizes and overall layout all need to work with the staircase to achieve a balanced, high-end finish. It’s often these small details that make the difference between a feature that looks professionally designed and one that just doesn’t quite look right.

Another recent kitchen refresh completed 👌

This project involved replacing the existing worktops, installing new upstands for a clean and seamless finish, and completely transforming the floor with modern porcelain tiles.

The tiling side of the job was something a little outside my usual scope, but I’m always keen to push my skillset and take on new challenges. I took my time to ensure everything was prepped correctly, laid out properly, and finished to a high standard—and I’m really pleased with how it’s turned out.

The combination of the new worktops, crisp upstands, and updated flooring has completely lifted the space and given the kitchen a much more modern, cohesive feel.

A big shoutout to the customer as well, who carried out all of the painting themselves—great effort and it really ties the whole look together 👏

Another happy customer 👍

A fellow powerlifter and all-round lovely lady was having issues with most of the doors in her Victorian townhouse. I replaced all handles and latches, trimmed the doors for a perfect fit, and made sure everything now closes smoothly and properly.

One of the doors hadn’t closed at all since she’d owned the property — now working perfectly 👌

Also fitted a new mortice lock on the porch door to improve security and give that extra peace of mind.

One of my favourite projects to date 🔨

Recently completed this bespoke built-in wardrobe and dressing area for a lovely couple, S & K. The room had some challenging angles due to the sloped ceiling, but that’s exactly the kind of space where custom joinery really makes the difference.

The design makes full use of the available space with:
• Full height hanging wardrobes
• Built-in drawer units
• Additional shelving for storage
• A central desk/dressing table area beneath the window.

Everything was made to measure so the units follow the roof lines perfectly and maximise every inch of the room.

Projects like this are incredibly satisfying to build — turning an awkward space into something practical, clean and fitted exactly to the room. It’s definitely up there as one of my favourite jobs I’ve completed and I can’t wait to see it painted.

3 days into this custom wardrobe build. All dry fit so far, just a header to put in above the single wardrobe to the right then make up drawer compartments, build 10 draws and cut and hang 4 doors, then add some shelving for the section on the far right hand side, then add skirting to finish it all off.
