Not every floor is as straightforward as it first appears.

This job started with grinding the concrete and applying a high-build epoxy resin. Unfortunately, the coating highlighted an issue with the concrete itself. The original concrete had been finished with too much water, leaving a weak, flaky surface layer that wasn’t suitable for a long-lasting epoxy coating.

Rather than coating over a problem, I re-ground the entire floor back to solid, sound concrete. Once the weak layer was removed, a few cracks became visible, so these were repaired before moving on.

The floor was then primed with an epoxy resin primer, followed by a high-build epoxy resin topcoat, creating a strong, durable finish that’s built to last.

Preparation is everything with resin flooring. Taking the time to do it properly means the customer gets a floor that performs as it should for years to come.

DevonPour is looking for a reliable, self-employed individual to assist with epoxy resin flooring projects on an as-and-when basis.

🔹 Self-employed position

We’re looking for someone who:

✅ Is willing to travel when required
✅ Holds a full UK driving licence (preferred)

No previous resin flooring experience is necessary, as full training will be provided. Experience in construction, flooring, decorating, or other hands-on trades would be beneficial, but the right attitude is more important.
