We recently attended a gas boiler service where the customer also mentioned that both toilets were constantly filling after being flushed.

On inspection, the inlet fill valves in both toilets were found to be faulty and required replacement.

As we were already at the property, both valves were replaced during the same visit, saving the customer the inconvenience of arranging another appointment and taking more time out of their day.

We always try to make things as straightforward as possible for our customers. If you have any additional plumbing or heating issues when we attend, let us know and, where possible, we’ll aim to investigate and resolve them while we’re there.

A boiler service isn’t just a tick-box job.

We recently attended a gas boiler service where the customer had noticed a leak coming from the boiler after a valve had snapped, along with a possible smell of gas.

On inspection, the damaged valve was replaced, but a further internal leak was also found and the required part was changed to leave the boiler safe and operating correctly.

The reported smell of gas was then traced back to a leak from the gas regulator, which resulted in the gas provider attending and replacing it.

This is exactly why regular servicing and proper investigation matter. What may look like one issue can uncover something more serious, especially when gas is involved.

If you notice a leak, smell gas, or your boiler hasn’t been serviced in a while, don’t ignore it.

A recent oil to gas conversion completed for one of our customers — and this one has made a big difference to how the home can now be used.

The existing hot water cylinder was removed from the hot press, which has now opened the space right up and given the customer full use of the cupboard again for storage. We also removed the old storage tanks from the attic, freeing up even more space and leaving the customer with a much cleaner overall setup.

The new gas combi boiler was installed within the attic, keeping it neatly out of the way while still providing the home with a more efficient heating system and instant hot water when required.

This is the kind of upgrade that does more than change the fuel source. It improves the heating setup, frees up valuable space in the home, and gives the customer a much more practical long-term solution.

The customer also has the added peace of mind of a 10-year warranty on the boiler.
