Please find below an update on our recent activities. Our team has been actively engaged in several key operations. Following the maize harvest, we have commenced the application of farmyard manure (FYM) and slurry in preparation for cultivation. Given the current moisture levels, we have also made a start on the drilling of grass.

Additionally, our hedge trimming services have been deployed on specific stubble grounds, operating under a dispensation secured by the landowner. With September 1st approaching, our team will soon begin general hedge trimming operations. Bales, bales, and more bales! The boys have been busy baling haylage, hay, and straw the past couple of weeks. We've made good progress and are getting near the end, all thanks to an amazing team effort that has worked night and day to get the job done. 🚜🌾💪

The past few weeks have been quite eventful, with the weather presenting some unexpected challenges.
We have made a good start on baling, with a promising hay crop, and the new McHale 998 has been immediately put to use for haylage.
Our foragers have been diligently working through the second and third cuts, which are showing excellent yields.
A sincere thank you to all the team members and subcontractors who have assisted over the last couple of weeks to ensure the work was completed successfully.

We here at JSS love to see grass root sports thrive, which is why we have been sponsoring Gordano RFU under 18 colts for the last 3 years, it was a massive surprise and with great appreciation we have received a framed shirt from the club.

With this welcomed bit of rain as some crops were starting to need a drink, it gives us a few less hectic days to catch up.
The past couple weeks we have finished the last of first cut silage made a good start on second and some third cut. And with the weather we are having we have also had the balers running on haylage and some May hay.
