Saturday Shop Assistant – DIY & Hardware Shop

We’re looking for a friendly and reliable Saturday Shop Assistant to join our busy DIY & Hardware shop in Alcester.

Duties will include:

Assisting customers with DIY, hardware, and general store queries

Answering telephone calls and dealing with customer enquiries

Stocking shelves and maintaining tidy displays

Operating the till and handling payments

Receiving deliveries and moving stock around the shop

Some lifting and general manual handling duties

The ideal candidate:

Is enthusiastic, dependable, and customer-focused

Is comfortable with physical tasks and manual work

Has good communication skills, both in person and over the phone

Has an interest in DIY, tools, or home improvement (preferred but not essential)

Is happy working as part of a small team

Previous retail experience is an advantage, but training will be provided

Hours:

Saturdays only (with occasional extra hours available during busy periods)
