Something a little different in the Aberdeen Upholstery workshop - although we love being in a marine environment! 🌊🚣‍♀️
We’ve been delighted to help the Saltire Tides team with some of the final repairs and alterations to their boat and equipment as they prepare to take on the World’s Toughest Row.
From repairing cushions, checking the jack stay lines to making their foot plates a little bit more comfortable, and other last-minute jobs, it’s certainly been a change from chairs and sofas!
It’s been a real pleasure to play a small part in getting the girls ready for what is an extraordinary challenge.

The client was really disappointed that the faux leather on these dining chairs had begun to flake, but the chairs themselves were far too good to replace.
We stripped them back and completely remade them using a quality faux leather from Warwick Fabrics UK Ltd, giving them a fresh new look while retaining the original design and comfort.
A great example of how quality furniture, modern or traditional, can be given a new lease of life rather than replaced.

From Worn to Wonderful ✨

These dining chairs arrived with flaking leather that, while the frames were solid, had seen better days. Rather than replacing the chairs, the customer chose to invest in quality refurbishment.

We completely stripped and recovered each chair using a neutral Ferrara fabric from Independent Fabric Suppliers on the seat and front, paired with a striking Linwood fabric on the back.

The finished result is elegant, individual and built to provide many more years of use.

Reupholstery isn't just about repairing furniture—it's about creating something unique that reflects your style while giving well-made pieces a new lease of life.

It was a pleasure to create a bespoke loose cover for this elegant small sofa, complete with luxurious new feather cushions from The Feather Company.
We also had the opportunity to recover this unusual gout stool, updating the fabric in the family tartan, while preserving its character and charm.
A lovely project combining practicality, comfort, and traditional craftsmanship.

Originally from Enfield, Gerry had a keen eye for quality furniture and a genuine talent for furniture restoration. His appreciation for craftsmanship and timeless design lives on in this beautiful Holland & Sons pie crust chair.
This piece was lovingly restored in honour of both the chair’s history and the family’s connection to it.

🌿A meaningful restoration for a very special piece.

Vikki brought us her grandmother’s much-loved chair, featuring a hand-sewn tapestry seat. Time had taken its toll, and the fabric was becoming too fragile to remain in everyday use.

We reupholstered the chair in a rich olive velvet from finished with a carefully selected trim
To preserve the history of the piece, the tapestry has been repurposed into a cushion—allowing it to be enjoyed without further wear. 🌿
