Part 153 of trying to renovate my garden using a ChatGPT design 🤖

left a comment saying the Venetian fence needed a trim around the top and front to finish it off properly… and he was correct 😂

Got that fitted and it makes the whole thing look far more professional 👌

We also got the area cleared and prepped for the composite decking frame by removing all the temporary timber, sweeping up the mess and getting everything ready for the next stage 🔨

Next time you see me we’ll be attempting to build the decking frame… once I’ve bribed a couple of mates into helping me figure out what I’m doing 🍺😂

The was also back on duty making sure absolutely no work got done without her approval 👷‍♀️

The outdoor TV area is finally starting to take shape 📺

This week we got the Venetian fence installed and I’m buzzing with how it’s turned out 👌

We also took delivery of the frame for the composite decking, which means the next phase of the build can finally begin 🔨

Still a long way to go, but it’s starting to look like the design ChatGPT came up with all those months ago 😅

Composite decking next… wish me luck 🍺

Part 151 of trying to renovate my garden using a ChatGPT design 🤖 |

Looks like we got the decking oiled and the stones glued down just in time… because the rain came back the day after 🌧️😂

We turned our attention to the new Venetian fence 👀

Got all the black membrane fitted, stapled everything into place, and ordered the timber slats🔨

We also built the massive parasol and ordered up the garden furniture 🪑

Were in the final stages and we might actually just get this thing finshed in trim for summer 🌞

The robot did this 🤖

I’ve been putting the Navimow i205 AWD to work and it’s genuinely impressive how little input it needs.

No perimeter wires, no dragging a mower out every weekend it just gets on with the job and keeps the lawn looking tidy.

The bit I like most is that it takes one more job off your list.

While it’s out cutting the grass, you can be getting on with literally anything else.

🚨 LIMITED-TIME OFFER 🚨
From 15th–28th June, you can save up to £250 on selected Navimow models, plus get free gifts worth up to £359 including a FREE garage and an extra 1-year warranty.

Part 150 of trying to renovate my garden using a ChatGPT design 🤖 | Scotland finally make it to a World Cup and I spent the next day fighting for my life with a hangover 🍻😂

The good news is we finally got a dry day, so we got both deckings fully oiled and all the stones glued down ✅

We also had our composite decking sample delivered for the front garden from and somehow it’s an almost perfect match to the fence 👌

For once, something has actually gone to plan 😅

Slowly but surely we’re getting there 🍺

Part 149 of trying to renovate my garden using a ChatGPT design 🤖 | We finally got both deckings fully sanded down 👌

Now they’re ready for oiling as soon as we get a few dry days 🪵

We also revealed ChatGPT’s latest design for the front of the garden 👀

The plan is dark composite decking, an outdoor TV, and a proper seating area to finish the space off 📺

What’s mad is that this whole project started with a random AI-generated garden design a year ago…

And one year later we’ve just partnered with one of the biggest brands in the world 🤯

Genuinely can’t thank you all enough for the support. Every comment, follow and share has helped make this happen ❤️

If a clueless bloke with a wrecked garden and a phone camera can do it, anyone can.

Part 148 of trying to renovate my garden using a ChatGPT design 🤖 |

We’ve spent the last 4 days getting absolutely battered by rain 🌧️

Unfortunately that means we can’t glue the stones down or oil the decking, so progress has slowed right down 😩

In between the rainstorms though, we did manage to repair the fence and make a start sanding both decking areas 🪵

We also went shopping for garden furniture, only to find the set we wanted was completely out of stock 🤦‍♂️

So we’re now on the hunt for a decent rattan set… any recommendations? 👀

One day we’ll actually get a stretch of dry weather and finish this thing 😂

Part 147 of trying to renovate my garden using a ChatGPT design 🤖 |

Well… the Scottish summer lasted about 17 minutes 🌧️

We were hoping to get all the stones glued down this week and get both deckings sanded and oiled, but the weather forecast has other ideas. Looks like we’re in for 7-10 days of rain, so that’s that plan fu**ed 😅

Rather than sit about waiting for the weather to sort itself out, we cracked on and got the posts for the hot tub shed fixed down 💪

We also had a massive clean-up operation around the garden 🧹 because the next big job is laying the main decking area.

Not the most exciting week of progress, but progress is progress. Hopefully the weather starts behaving itself soon so we can get back on with it 🤞

Part 146 of trying to renovate my garden using a ChatGPT design 🤖 |

This week we finally got the hot tub shed coated in clear wood preserver 🪵🍺

We also started gluing down all the white stones to stop Clive kicking them about everywhere 😅

The plan was to finish off the outdoor cinema setup… but it turns out projectors are about as useful as a chocolate teapot in broad daylight 📽️☀️

You can’t see a fu***ng thing 😂

Looks like we might be swapping it out for a TV instead 📺

Big shoutout to everyone following along with this dodgy renovation journey 🍻
