Part 18 of the ChatGPT Front Garden Renovation 🤖🏡

The new railings are finally fitted onto the porcelain steps, and it’s really starting to come together! 👌

We also made a start on building the floating wooden decking for the garden bench area. Another little project that’s turning into a bigger job than expected 😂

Part 17 of the ChatGPT Front Garden Renovation 🤖🏡

Time to sort out the old concrete steps that made the front door look like the entrance to a prison.

In this episode we fitted the new porcelain tiles over the top, and it’s looking a bit more like somewhere you’d choose to live 😂

With the path done and the steps tiled, it’s finally starting to come together.

Part 16 of the ChatGPT Front Garden Renovation 🤖🏡

We grouted the porcelain path, removed all the old handrails and started making a plan for the little patio area where the garden bench is going to sit.

The path is looking properly finished now and we’re finally moving onto the next section of the garden 🙌

Part 15 of the ChatGPT Front Garden Renovation 🤖🏡

After recovering from a severe bout of man flu, we were finally back at it 😂

This time it was time to get all the smaller porcelain blocks laid down either side and finally finish off the path.

And I’m actually really happy with how it’s turned out! Considering what was there before, I think it’s a massive upgrade 👌

Next up, we need to figure out what the hell we’re going to do with those concrete steps at the back door 😂

I’ve got a few ideas, but I want to hear what you lot think.

Part 14 of the ChatGPT Front Garden Renovation 🤖🏡

The materials finally turned up, which meant it was time to have a crack at laying the porcelain path 😂

We used an to get the perfect mortar bed, which made the job a hell of a lot easier, and somehow managed to get every single tile laid.

We even cut our first ever porcelain tile without making a complete c**t of it 😂

Next up, we’ve got all the smaller porcelain setts to lay down either side of the path and then we’re another step closer to getting this garden finished 🙌

Part 13 of the ChatGPT Front Garden Renovation 🤖🏡

After making a complete dog’s dinner of the path in the last episode, it was time to sort it properly 😂

We dug the entire thing out to 170mm, laid geotextile membrane, filled it with sub-base and whacker plated the lot down.

Now we’re finally ready to start thinking about laying the porcelain… if the Scottish weather stops trying to turn the front garden into a fu***ng swimming pool 🌧️😂

Part 12 of the ChatGPT Front Garden Renovation 🤖🏡

Time to start tackling the porcelain path 😅

After taking your advice, we ripped out the old concrete steps and attempted to create one continuous slope from the back door to the front.

We also hired a wacker player from

Only problem… we made a complete dog’s dinner of it 😂

Turns out we should’ve set our levels first and dug everything out BEFORE throwing more sub-base down 🤦‍♂️

And underneath the old path? An absolute beach worth of sand, cement and rocks… which now all needs dug out by hand. Brilliant 😂

Part 11 of the ChatGPT Front Garden Renovation 🤖🏡

After taking some heat in the comments, we admitted defeat and changed the gate round 😂 We finished Frank’s side of the fence, dug out trenches for the gravel boards and squeezed in a much-needed tip run.

Also bumped into a couple of you lot while I was out ❤️ Honestly always makes my day when someone comes over to say hello!

Part 10 of the ChatGPT Front Garden Renovation 🤖🏡

The fence is pretty much DONE! 🙌

We finished off the majority of the fencing, fitted the gate and added the capping to finish it all off. Honestly buzzing with how it’s fu***ng turned out! 😂🔥
