UPDATE! Due to adverse weather conditions, this workshop has been split into an online session (Saturday 24 October, 10am to 12:30pm) which will be followed by a hands-on session at the Earth & Worms Byre (date and time TBC).
Please join us online tomorrow morning, from the comfort of your home, if you would like to find out more about the use of lime mortar on conservation project, its benefits, how it behaves over time, and much more!
Register TODAY on Eventbrite (see below), we have a few spaces left! And share if you can 🙂
The first stage of any good retrofit project is maintaining the building, so it's wind and water tight. This workshop will be working on the walls of the Byre to help protect them against the elements.
This free, hands-on workshop is open to all LOCAL RESIDENTS of Tillydrone, Seaton and Woodside. Taught by a conservation specialist, participants will learn how Lime Mortar is used in the repair and maintenance of traditional buildings. Help Earth & Worms create a warm, dry space for this wonderful community space!
Whether you are a regular volunteer or would like to find out more about this project and traditional building maintenance skills and techniques, this event is for you! All participants need to REGISTER to attend, using this link https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/lime-pointing-workshop-at-the-earth-worms-byre-tickets-2003208513589
