In the act of painting, or creating, one touches the
ephemeral power of that which has always been
there: the immemorial. At a certain moment in the
process of making, one grasps time and space and
intertwines these abstract phenomena with one’s
own consciousness. The Act of Painting (TAOP) as
a roaming artist community, envisions works of art
that emphasize the moment of magic over the
strict ex*****on of a concept while maintaining the
raw beauty of imperfection that an unfinished
creation can have.
In this for C 3-studios - GYM curated show in
Rotterdam Charlois works by members of the
TAOP-collective are brought together with works
by artists who reside in the C 3- studios building.
