As time passes, I find myself spending more time with my works.
At first, a painting feels like a part of you. It carries your thoughts, your emotions, and your way of seeing the world. But after living with it for a while, something curious begins to happen.
You spend more time in its presence. It starts to affect you, shape you, and reveal new things about itself. Somehow, what once felt like a part of you becomes something larger, and you somehow become a part of it.
Perhaps that is what a painting truly carries: a trace of the artist within the work, and a trace of the work forever etched within the artist.
