đ„” 42°C⊠because apparently Mother Nature decided France needed to feel like the surface of the sun!
To stay ahead of the heat, we've been hitting the ground running from 6am. Early starts, plenty of water, and trying to get as much done as possible before the afternoon turns into an oven!
A huge shout-out to everyone working outdoors in these temperatures. Please take care of yourselves, drink plenty of water, and don't be afraid to leave those non-urgent jobs for another day.
đ¶ On a more serious note⊠we've seen people walking their dogs in the middle of the day during this heatwave and honestly, it's infuriating.
42°C is not "a bit warm". It's dangerous.
The roads and pavements are scorching hot and can burn paws in seconds. Dogs don't sweat like we do, they can't tell you they're struggling and heatstroke can come on frighteningly fast.
No dog is desperate for a midday walk. They don't need it. What they need is common sense, shade, and fresh water.
Seeing people dragging their dogs around in this heat is heartbreaking and quite frankly, completely irresponsible. Missing one walk won't hurt your dog. Heatstroke might kill them.
Give them plenty of fresh water and somewhere cool to rest. (Or an air con unit if they are as entitled as ours)
They're family. They trust us to protect them. They deserve better than being forced out onto baking pavements because someone couldn't wait a few hours.
