The story behind the sticker in every order 🤍

Every pet portrait I send comes with a small sticker, but the illustration behind it carries a true friendship story 🐕 👩🏻

Inspired by Jagger, my soul dog, my best companion, and the reason Pawcasso Aquarelle was born in the first place.

We shared so many beautiful camping trips together, and that little illustration is also inspired by those memories.

Jagger had this pure way of bringing me back to what really matters. To slowness. To love. To the beauty of simply being here.

He passed away nearly three months, but it some way, he still arrives in every package, still finds a way to be part of this story 🐾

If you’ve ever received one of my stickers, now you know:
it was never just a sticker.
It was always a little piece of Jagger ✨

“I’m an artist.” 🎨
Saying those words still feels unfamiliar.

For the past 7 years I’ve painted, first for the simple joy of creating, then for the privilege of painting beloved pets for others 🦜 Yet somehow, I still catch myself wondering if I’m “allowed” to call myself an artist. As if I needed a diploma, a title, or someone else’s approval.

Maybe it’s because we’ve learned to label everything. We think we are only what we do full-time.

But a writer isn’t a writer because they’ve published. They’re writers because they write.

And maybe art is anything made with complete presence, when someone pours their whole being into the present act, whether painting, cooking, gardening, dancing, building, teaching, or simply caring for another living soul 🥥

such an honor to paint Romeo 🤍

This portrait was commissioned by the sister of his beloved human after Romeo crossed the rainbow bridge just a few weeks ago. She wanted to give her brother something meaningful, a way to keep Romeo’s beautiful spirit close, every single day.

Romeo’s striking heterochromia made him unforgettable, but what touched me most was the love behind this gift. As someone who has two siblings, this commission felt especially relatable to me. I know how deep that siblings bond can be, and I know I wouldn’t be the person I am today without my siblings 👩🏻👨🏻

If there’s a pet whose memory deserves to live on through art, I’d be very happy to create something special for you ✨
