The J.L.G. Governor short-scale bass—crafted with exceptional premium materials throughout.
This instrument features a beautifully figured swamp ash body paired with a high-grade flame maple neck and a striking flame ebony fingerboard, accented by genuine mother-of-pearl block inlays.
Designed for effortless playability, the 30.3″ scale length, slim J-style neck profile, and 12″ radius offer a fast, comfortable feel in every register.
At its core, a set of DiMarzio Relentless J pickups delivers a powerful, articulate voice with excellent dynamic response. Adjustable pole pieces, a 3-way toggle switch, and CTS 500k master volume and tone controls provide a wide and usable tonal range.
The finish is applied directly to bare wood, showcasing the natural character of the instrument—a deep red stain enhanced by a dark brown/black burst and sealed in high-gloss lacquer.
Premium hardware includes Hipshot lightweight tuners and a Babicz string-through bridge, ensuring outstanding tuning stability, sustain, and resonance.
Fitted with a Tusq nut and strung with Ernie Ball medium-scale 45–105 strings.
Each instrument is delivered with a hard case, certificate, wiring diagram, and setup tools.
