More views of this beautiful Santalo home, with the living room in focus. In the center you can see our favorite artwork by Enrich, a well-known contemporary artist from Barcelona.

Milan Design Week is much more than Salone del Mobile.

While the fair showcases the latest collections, some of the most memorable experiences happen across the city and beyond.

From the incredible atmosphere of Nilufar Depot to the historic villas and industrial spaces of Alcova, Milan becomes a living exhibition where design, art and architecture come together.

This is where I go not only to discover new trends, but to see how ideas, materials and craftsmanship shape the future of interiors.

Santalo. Custom dining zone featuring a built-in wooden bench with soft cushions and rounded forms, creating a warm and comfortable everyday space.

All furniture in this interior was made entirely to our sketches by Nordwood and delivered from Ukraine.

Natural oak was used throughout, stained in a very deep dark tone with a rich chocolate shade, giving the whole space a calm and elegant feeling.

This includes the dining table, TV cabinet, decorative shelving with integrated lighting, and wall panels behind the TV. Everything follows one clear design idea with soft curves, natural veneer, and cohesive materials.

I’m honestly obsessed with this molten glass partition in a bronze frame, it catches the light in such a soft, smoky way and makes the whole space feel deeper and more atmospheric.

A custom mirror with warm lighting, deep dark tones, and oxidized metal panels behind the toilet area set the mood - calm, moody, a little dramatic, but still refined.

And of course, my favorite Apparatus sconces as the final touch, they give that quiet, glowing warmth I always love in a bathroom space.

New project in Barcelona suburb. Guest bathroom.

Render vs Reality ✨
What would you choose?

For me, the real space will always feel more beautiful than the render.

Not because renders aren’t important, they are a huge part of the process and help us imagine the future project before it exists.

But realization has something else.
Texture. Atmosphere. Imperfections.
Real light. Real life.

You can actually feel how much work and energy went into the space.

And that’s when the project truly becomes alive.

So tell me, render or reality?
