Want your SEAL SL:01 zip to last for hundreds of dives? Here are 8 golden rules to keep in mind:
1. Wash both types of zips thoroughly with fresh water after every dive.
2. If you have a plastic zip, use a toothbrush with mild, soapy water to clean the teeth and docking port if you dived in muddy waters with many particles.
3. Fully hang dry the suit in a ventilated place after diving. Even damp in your boots or socks can affect the condition of the main zip.
4. Do not use direct heating sources or dry in direct sunlight.
5. Do not leave the zip unnaturally bent for a prolonged time.
6. Always close the zip for storage and transport.
7. After drying the suit, do not leave the zip fully open.
8. If you have the metal zip, lubricate it with a grease stick before diving.
