We are an uprising: we fight, we disrupt, we make cities stop to warn people that their future is at risk. Then we give them tools to fight back. It is our mission to seek out and confront the people and organizations that are warping the political system and preventing it from acting to protect our future. The people who are pretending that climate change is not happening. Or that it is not really a serious threat. Or that we cannot survive without the fossil fuels that our economies have been addicted to for so long. We know that energy from the sun and the wind is abundant and that we already have the technologies we need to harness it. We trust humanity’s ability to innovate further. And we have understood the messages that the climate scientists are giving us: that our vast reserves of fossil fuels (oil, gas and coal) need to be left unburnt if we are to have a future that we can survive and thrive in. Our symbol is a circle drawn around the eye. It means that we are watching the people in power and we will hold them to account for the decisions that they make now. Because these decisions will determine whether human civilization evolves through technological innovation or collapses as it is hit by climate apocalypse. And it stands for zero emissions. Which is our demand. Because only by completely ending our dependence on fossil fuels can we ensure that we come out of this into a beautiful new future. We are The Future.
